Saturday saw the Main sisters head to their other club in Berkhamsted competing in the Junior events, Women's racketball and in Natalie's case the Women's Open Squash final in the club's gala Finals day.
The day started for them as soon as Lily finished coaching juniors at LDS with both competing in the round robin element of Women's racketball. At the end of 5 matches each Natalie, playing racketball for only the second time ever, qualified in top spot for the final where she would face Chloe Spratt, whilst Lily just missed out in third place.
The first final for Natalie was in the Women's Open Squash where she faced holder Chloe Spratt. In truth it was a very one-sided affair as Natalie continued her recent good form, despatching Spratt in straight games. Next up was the junior event where the Main sisters faced young men. Lily pulled off an impressive win against Olly Sanders, but Natalie couldn't follow suit and Tring based player Ethan Duncan finished up the ultimate winner.
In what was her 10th match of the day it was a return to racketball for Natalie. The match ebbed and flowed as she traded the first four games in tie-breaks with Chloe Spratt before Natalie pulled ahead to take the title in the fifth, with the match taking so long it held up the showpiece Open Final.
Lily was rewarded for her efforts at the club over the last year where she has helped with coaching and captained the first women's team from Berkhamsted for over a decade by picking up the Ryder Memorial Trophy.
