Hopes were high for Lily and Natalie Main as they travelled to Ipswich for the East Regional Championships, with Lily seeded 2 and Natalie 3, but things didn't go quite to plan. There were no real dramas in the first round as Lily prevailed over over Norfolk's, much improved, Jasmine Thirst. On the adjoining court Natalie despatched Essex's Leah Brooke 3-0.
In the semi finals Lily faced Essex's Renitha Srindran, whilst Natalie also faced and Essex girl in the shape of no1. seed Lara Newton. Lily was totally out of sorts and Srindran showed no mercy as she exploited the situation to triumph deservedly 3-1 in a real shock result. Natalie, dominated the first game against Newton, but failed to capitalise and lost rather meekly in the end bringing to a conclusion a 4 year winning streak at this event.
The final match saw the sisters face each other once again and this time it was Natalie's turn to triumph, 3-1, gaining some measure of revenge for the loss in Millfield to finish 3rd overall
