The team finished off the calendar year with a visit to Bushey and returned with maximum points.
Bushey sit adrift at the bottom of the table, but deserve huge credit for even being able to field a team, albeit on this occasion it was one short, giving LDS an early lead. Lily Main kicked things off and relished the extraordinarily high ceilings which she used to full effect with her lobs. The host's Darren Hewedine was unable to deal with them at all and resorted to some remarkably unorthodox squash to try and stay in the game, but ultimately Lily was just too strong and triumphed 3-0. Unusually No1 string played early and quickly despached James Kramer. With the match won, Antony Di Blasio further extended the visitors lead against Barry Warner, before Mat McHugh completed the whitewash at second string against Steve Desmond.
LDS now sit 5th with a game in hand at the half way point. With Amir Jafri making himself available for the remaining away matches and a home Cup quarter final to come, the team are in good spirits to push on.
