Silsoe vs LDSC1
Wednesday 11 January 2012
The first match back after the Christmas break saw LDSC1 take on
table topping Silsoe. With only 6 points separating the sides this
was a great
opportunity for LDSC1 to move ahead of their rivals.
Steve Wells was first on court and was too strong for his opponent
and won fairly comfortably 3-0. Meanwhile on court 2 Matt Mulara
was getting involved in a long battle that really tested his
fitness and mental strength. Matt was clearly not as fit as he was
post Christmas but just edged his opponent out 3-2. At number 4
string Dean Pike simply carried on his good form of 2011 beating
the hard hitting Stuart Bithrey 3-0.
With the match already won it was left to Scot Adam and Steve
Davies to finish the night and they both won 3-0 to complete an
excellent whitewash of the league leaders.
This victory sets the side up nicely for 2012 when they will be
competing out of the newly refurbished Lewsey Sports Park.
