Monday 04/10/2010 away to Open University 2

This week saw the LDSRC First Team starting the 2010/11 season with an away fixture against Open University 2 at the Milton Keynes campus. Although retaining the main core of last years Title winning squad we had two new members both making there debut, in the form of Charlie Lee and Chris Ridgway. Both players had to go on court first and showed why they had been added to the squad as they both started with 3-0 wins at numbers 2 & 5. Steve wells had the toughest match at number 4 unfortunately  he lost but picked up two valuable points during the process.This left the number 1 and 3 to play, both Steve Davis and Dean Pike brought home the maximium 3 points a piece. Making the score 17-3 on the night, being a pretty good start to the season.
