Disappointing is the only word to describe how our members fared at Windsor.
After overcoming a prelimenary round on Thursday, Ramon Sharma succumbed to a stomach bug and had to withdraw.
John got off to a cracking start winning 3-0 in his first round match on Saturday morning in a very one-sided game. However, he had to face a player known to many in the club, Rob St Ledger, in the second round. Rob is really a B Grade player but suffered a very serious injury to both knees some months ago and is on the long road back. He had entered at C, but as that was full was slotted into D and thus proved too strong for John.
Better luck next time chaps!
