LDS Storm to Grand Final Win

Luton and Dunstable Squash first team put up a tremendous display of squash to see off Biggleswade in the County Grand Final only losing one tie in the process. Spurred on by packed galleries not seen for many years the side dominated from start to finish and the end result was never really in doubt once play commenced.

Shot and a Ghost by James Willstrop

I have a confession to make. I am a squash anorak and devour everything I can whether in real print, or virtually on the internet. Having only discovered the game just over 6 years ago and am now in a hopeless love affair with it. I mention this at the outset because I could never be described as a dispassionate reviewer of the latest contribution to what is, in reality, a paltry amount of squash literature.

British Open U13 2012 Sheffield

On the 2nd January 2012 Muqaddam Khan represented Luton and Dunstable Squash club in the U13 British Squash Open in Sheffield. Muqaddam moved to Luton from Pakistan in 2010 and has since received support for his obvious squash talent from both his school (Foxdell Junior School) and Luton and Dunstable Squash Club. This support lead to him gaining entry into one of the most prestigious junior tournaments around with the best 64 players in the World competing.

Silsoe vs LDSC1

The first match back after the Christmas break saw LDSC1 take on table topping Silsoe. With only 6 points separating the sides this was a great opportunity for LDSC1 to move ahead of their rivals.

No wins for LDSC

Luton and Dunstable Squash club took on Henley Squash club in the first round of the National Club Championships on Friday evening. This was the first time the side had entered the prestigious National event that draws out the best players across the country.

LDSC II pull off shock of the season

LDSC second side pulled off what can only be described as a major upset by chalking up their first win ever, beating current defending Champions Flitwick 3-2 away from home. Meanwhile LDSC first team continued their 100% record at home to Silsoe.
