End of Season League Positions

Congratulations to the Club’s first team for finishing top of Division 2 of the Beds League whilst the second team finished 5th in Division 1. Thanks again to Steve Davies and Matt Carey for their time in running the two teams. As they are both stepping down, we need a replacement.      See full story...

LDS Sign off Season with a win

Injuries and unavailability have meant that the LDS campaign in the Beds league fizzled out before a serious challenge for the title could be mounted but they triumphed in their final game to at least sign off in style.      See full story...

A Heavy Defeat

After last week’s convincing win, this week LDS suffered a catastrophic defeat which all but ended any hope of a realistic title challenge. Late injury and illness decimated the Luton and Dunstable squash team this week. After a narrow defeat in the first week of the Division 1 play offs in the Beds league, the Luton and Dunstable squash team needed to get back on track with a win against David Lloyd Milton Keynes this week and they duly delivered.      See full story...

Luton and Dunstable Squash Club hosted MK Squash II in their first match after the splitting of the Beds season into top half and bottom half, but sadly for LDS it was not a winning start which dents any title ambitions they harboured.      See full story...

For the second week running Luton and Dunstable were hit with an injury crisis and lack of availability in the Beds squash league meaning a senior debut for 10 year old Natalie Main, recently elevated to no1 ranked girl for her age in England, for the tough away trip to Open University.      See full story...

LDSC thumped by Bunyan

LDSC’s latest match in the Beds league was a chastening one at the hands of a very strong Bunyan 1, starkly highlighting the lack of depth in the squad. A late injury immediately put the home side under pressure with Steve Wells moving up to number 3 in the order and Stephen Axford making his debut at number 4.      See full story...

Annual Doubles Event Benefits Keech

On the 26th November we ran the 4th Chris Simms Memorial Doubles Tournament. In the final Glenn Skelton and Peter Capp beat Matt Carey and Craig Basham. The afternoon raised over £200 for the Keech Hospice. The winners were presented with the trophy by Chris' son Steven and the runners up below received a new trophy in honour of Pete Hilliard, funded by the Thursday evening doubles group.      See full story...

County Match against Bucks and Berks

Having previously been in division 2b of the county system a restructure saw this year’s competition regionalised and as a result Beds drew two tough opponents in Bucks and Berks who had previously been in higher divisions.      See full story...
